Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Interior of Odin's Restaurant by David Hockney was sold in the Modern British Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in December 2012. It achieved a price of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 53,339.26), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 24%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Interior of Odin's Restaurant von David Hockney wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion Modern British Art Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 43.250,00 (€ 53.339,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 24%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Hockney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nichols Canyon im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.067.500,00 (€ 33.579.313,16).
