Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bilitis, Ramatuelle - 2007 by David Hamilton was sold in the Photography Collection of Amedeo M. Turello auction at Artcurial in October 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,170.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Hamilton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Danseuse. 1978., which sold at auction in December 2014 for CHF 5,160.00 (€ 4,292.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bilitis, Ramatuelle - 2007 von David Hamilton wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Photography Collection of Amedeo M. Turello bei Artcurial versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.170,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von David Hamilton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Danseuse. 1978. beobachtet, die im Dezember 2014 für CHF 5.160,00 (€ 4.292,25) versteigert wurde.
