Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sans titre by David Gista was auctioned at Christies in Paris in July 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 200.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 62.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Gista achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La conspiration de i' in July 2010 with an auction result of EUR 1,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sans titre von David Gista im Juli 2010 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 62,50 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Gista erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La conspiration de i' im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.125,00.
