Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work In the Happy Autumn Fields by David Fulton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,280.00 (€ 1,469.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Fulton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishing for tiddlers in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,879.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the Happy Autumn Fields von David Fulton zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.280,00 (€ 1.469,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Fulton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishing for tiddlers im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.780,00 (€ 6.879,73).
