Despite a disappointment, a good price for David Forrester Wilson
When the work Wind by David Forrester Wilson was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,395.20). Despite this disappointing result, Wind is the most expensive artwork by David Forrester Wilson that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Wind von David Forrester Wilson im Januar 2020 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
