Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Westward, Susanne and White Heather (II) powering to windward in the Solent, 1910 by David Brackman was sold in the Important Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,100.00 (€ 23,120.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Brackman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work H.M.S. Victory , a bow view, breaking the enemy line at the Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805, which sold at auction in July 2016 for GBP 64,900.00 (€ 77,115.24).
Victory , a bow view, breaking the enemy line at the Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805 beobachtet, die im Juli 2016 für GBP 64.900,00 (€ 77.115,24) versteigert wurde.
