Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction Trafalgar Bicentenary, which included the work HMS Victory breaking through the enemy line at Trafalgar, 21 October, 1805 by David Brackman. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,733.01). Admittedly, works by David Brackman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H.M.S. Victory , a bow view, breaking the enemy line at the Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805 in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 77,115.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Trafalgar Bicentenary durch, in der auch die Arbeit HMS Victory breaking through the enemy line at Trafalgar, 21 October, 1805 von David Brackman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.733,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Brackman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit H.M.S. Victory , a bow view, breaking the enemy line at the Battle of Trafalgar, 21 October 1805 im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 77.115,24).
