Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self-portrait by David Bomberg was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April 2021. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,333.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Bomberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Church Of The Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,224,900.00 (€ 1,744,688.09).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.333,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Bomberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Church Of The Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.224.900,00 (€ 1.744.688,09).
