In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Self Portrait by David Bomberg. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,233.30), 59% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Bomberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Church Of The Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,224,900.00 (€ 1,744,688.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self Portrait von David Bomberg zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.233,30) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Bomberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Church Of The Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.224.900,00 (€ 1.744.688,09).
