Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Bomberg achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2021. In the Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale auction, the work Bomb Store sold for GBP 63,000.00 (€ 73,411.38) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Bomberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Church Of The Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,224,900.00 (€ 1,744,688.09).
