Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Box Of Pin-Ups, 1965 by David Bailey. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,048.00 (€ 6,668.90). Admittedly, works by David Bailey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bob Dylan in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 63,800.00 (€ 42,009.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Box Of Pin-Ups, 1965 von David Bailey zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.048,00 (€ 6.668,90) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Bailey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bob Dylan im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.800,00 (€ 42.009,61).
