Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still life with lemons by Daphne Fedarb was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 384.00 (€ 567.65). Admittedly, works by Daphne Fedarb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wheelbarrow in June 2006 with an auction result of USD 4,200.00 (€ 3,286.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still life with lemons von Daphne Fedarb im August 2007 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 384,00 (€ 567,65) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daphne Fedarb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wheelbarrow im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.200,00 (€ 3.286,64).
