Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Daniël Kerkhoff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2015. In the The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV auction, the work View of a courtyard in Haarlem; and Another of the same sold for EUR 3,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniël Kerkhoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Popular celebrations in Dam Square, Amsterdam, on 19 January 1795, marking the erection of the Liberty Tree and the success of the Batavian Revolution, which sold at auction in July 2011 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,911.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Daniël Kerkhoff erzielte im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV wurde die Arbeit View of a courtyard in Haarlem; and Another of the same für EUR 3.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Daniël Kerkhoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Popular celebrations in Dam Square, Amsterdam, on 19 January 1795, marking the erection of the Liberty Tree and the success of the Batavian Revolution beobachtet, die im Juli 2011 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.911,06) versteigert wurde.
