Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Italianate landscape with three goats, a ram, a shepherd and a dog by Daniël De Bondt was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,088.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniël De Bondt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Mediterranean coastal inlet with crab catchers and other figures in the foreground, which sold at auction in July 2003 for GBP 7,285.00 (€ 9,521.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Italianate landscape with three goats, a ram, a shepherd and a dog von Daniël De Bondt kam im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.088,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
