Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Front of House/Back of House, which included the work That's Bananas by Dan Bina. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,056.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dan Bina - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Art and Labor, which sold at auction in August last year for USD 2,142.00 (€ 2,128.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Front of House/Back of House durch, in der auch die Arbeit That's Bananas von Dan Bina zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.056,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dan Bina mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Art and Labor beobachtet, die im August letzten Jahres für USD 2.142,00 (€ 2.128,17) versteigert wurde.
