Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ride a Cock-Horse, from Nursery Rhymes by Paula Rego was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 3,840.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paula Rego achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dancing Ostriches from Walt Disney's 'Fantasia' in October this year with an auction result of GBP 3,065,000.00 (€ 3,519,471.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ride a Cock-Horse, from Nursery Rhymes von Paula Rego kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 3.840,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paula Rego erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dancing Ostriches from Walt Disney's 'Fantasia' im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.065.000,00 (€ 3.519.471,52).
