Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Christies in New York held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Study for 'Flying A Kite' by Laura Knight. It changed hands for a price of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 55,861.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Laura Knight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wind And Sun in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 914,850.00 (€ 1,038,080.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for 'Flying A Kite' von Laura Knight zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 55.861,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Laura Knight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wind And Sun im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 914.850,00 (€ 1.038.080,52).
