Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Artcurial held the auction African Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Deux Combattants Avec Un Arc Et Une Récade by Cyprien Tokoudagba. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,246.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cyprien Tokoudagba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Emblèmes Des Douze Rois D'Abomey in March last year with an auction result of EUR 10,496.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion African Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deux Combattants Avec Un Arc Et Une Récade von Cyprien Tokoudagba zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.246,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cyprien Tokoudagba auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Emblèmes Des Douze Rois D'Abomey im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.496,00.
