Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction SPORTING ART AND DOGS, which included the work Hurlingham versus The Royal Horse Guards polo match; and Coach driving competition at the Hurlingham club by Cuthbert Bradley. The price achieved of GBP 235.00 (€ 337.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cuthbert Bradley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Duke of Rutland's Hound, Belvoir Weaver in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 5,019.00 (€ 5,374.24).
