Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Sheep grazing by a pond by Curtius Duassut. The price achieved of GBP 264.00 (€ 387.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Curtius Duassut - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rural cottage with chickens feeding, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 705.00 (€ 1,090.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sheep grazing by a pond von Curtius Duassut zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 264,00 (€ 387,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Curtius Duassut mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rural cottage with chickens feeding beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 705,00 (€ 1.090,48) versteigert wurde.
