Despite a disappointment, a good price for Creighton Michael
When the work Predella by Creighton Michael was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 500.00. Despite this disappointing result, Predella is the most expensive artwork by Creighton Michael that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Creighton Michael
Als die Arbeit Predella von Creighton Michael im April 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 500,00 den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Predella das teuerste Kunstwerk von Creighton Michael, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
