This artwork by Crash achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2021. In the Trespassing auction, the work Stripes sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,501.01) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Crash; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Swish sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,221.77).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Crash erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Trespassing wurde die Arbeit Stripes für USD 35.000,00 (€ 29.501,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Crash; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Swish im Dezember 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.221,77).
