Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year China Guardian held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Totem Friends(Painted in 2019) by Coté Escrivá. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 48,000.00 (€ 6,151.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Coté Escrivá have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Creepy Bart - Mono Pink (Painted In 2020) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Totem Friends(Painted in 2019) von Coté Escrivá zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 48.000,00 (€ 6.151,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Coté Escrivá auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Creepy Bart - Mono Pink (Painted In 2020) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04).
