Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Paintings, which included the work Landscape With Figures Passing By A Cottage And A Pond by Cornelis Snellinck. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,261.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Cornelis Snellinck have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2000 the work A river landscape with figures before a cottage with a man buying fish was auctioned for GBP 7,637.50 (€ 13,075.09).
