The price achieved of EUR 2,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Pieter t' Hoen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures On The Ice At Dusk in April 2004 with an auction result of EUR 14,340.00.

Die Arbeit A busy day on the riverbank von Cornelis Pieter t' Hoen wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Pieter t' Hoen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures On The Ice At Dusk im April 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.340,00.
