Sold at the lower estimate price
In May last year Lempertz in Cologne held the auction Alte Kunst, which included the work Südliche Landschaft mit Fluss und einem Wanderer by Cornelis Matthieu. The result of EUR 10,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Cornelis Matthieu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2019 the work An Angler Fishing In A Woodland Setting, With A Gentleman On Horseback On The Path Beside Him was auctioned for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 10,979.34).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Lempertz in Köln die Auktion Alte Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Südliche Landschaft mit Fluss und einem Wanderer von Cornelis Matthieu zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 10.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 12.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Matthieu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2019 die Arbeit An Angler Fishing In A Woodland Setting, With A Gentleman On Horseback On The Path Beside Him für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 10.979,34) versteigert.
