Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny, which included the work Shipping In A Light Breeze; Shipping In A Gusty Breeze by Cornelis Bouwmeester. The price achieved of USD 28,125.00 (€ 21,546.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Bouwmeester - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch And English Ships And An East India Company Yacht In The Roadstead Of Rotterdam - A Penschilderij, which sold at auction in May 2013 for EUR 55,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shipping In A Light Breeze; Shipping In A Gusty Breeze von Cornelis Bouwmeester zur Versteigerung kam.
