The auction ended at the price of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 43,016.13), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantinos Volanakis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek The Arrival Of Karaiskakis At Faliro in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,609,250.00 (€ 1,945,704.19).
