Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Sailing Boats At Anchor by Constantinos Romanides. The price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,595.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Constantinos Romanides - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sailing On Calm Waters, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,381.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sailing Boats At Anchor von Constantinos Romanides zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.595,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Constantinos Romanides mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sailing On Calm Waters beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.381,15) versteigert wurde.
