Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La rue de Paris a Bou-Saada. Algerie by Constant Georges Gasté was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 800.00. Admittedly, works by Constant Georges Gasté have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bou-Saade - Algeria in May 2016 with an auction result of EUR 6,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La rue de Paris a Bou-Saada. Algerie von Constant Georges Gasté im Mai 2016 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 800,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Constant Georges Gasté auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bou-Saade - Algeria im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.500,00.
