The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,188.46), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Colin W. Burns achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woodcock And Pheasant Driven Of The Covert, Thetford, Norfolk in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 35,250.00 (€ 41,597.83).
