In September 2018 Christies in Shanghai held the auction FIRST OPEN | Shanghai, which included the work A CIRCULAR INCENSE STAND, XIANGJI by Cola Ma. The price achieved of CNY 96,000.00 (€ 12,026.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Cola Ma have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2019 the work A Pair Of Kunmen-Form Framework Display Cabinets was auctioned for CNY 180,000.00 (€ 23,092.16).
