Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Co Westerik achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Oude man met stok sold for EUR 3,120.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Co Westerik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zonnebader in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 107,671.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Co Westerik erzielte im Januar 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Oude man met stok für EUR 3.120,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Co Westerik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zonnebader im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 107.671,60).
