In January 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Seated Nude Brushing Her Hair by Clifford Hall. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 750.00 (€ 1,005.41), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Clifford Hall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Resting nude in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,650.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated Nude Brushing Her Hair von Clifford Hall zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 1.005,41) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Clifford Hall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Resting nude im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.650,82).
