Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Mills Circus Horses, Olympia by Clifford Hall. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,593.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clifford Hall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Resting nude, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,650.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mills Circus Horses, Olympia von Clifford Hall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.593,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Clifford Hall mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Resting nude beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.650,82) versteigert wurde.
