A top price for Clement McAleer - as previously expected
In October 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Irish Art, which included the work Coastal Journey by Clement McAleer. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 8,077.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Coastal Journey is the most expensive artwork by Clement McAleer that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coastal Journey von Clement McAleer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 8.077,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Coastal Journey das teuerste Kunstwerk von Clement McAleer, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
