Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Saint Cecilia by Claude Vignon was sold in the Old Master Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 61,250.00 (€ 64,330.32). Admittedly, works by Claude Vignon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Joseph Interpreting Dreams In Prison in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 435,000.00 (€ 356,236.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Saint Cecilia von Claude Vignon wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 61.250,00 (€ 64.330,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Vignon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Joseph Interpreting Dreams In Prison im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 435.000,00 (€ 356.236,18).
