Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Princess Camma by Claude Vignon was sold in the Old Masters/New Scholars: Works of Art Sold to Benefit Rugby School auction at Christies in London in December 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,637.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claude Vignon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Joseph Interpreting Dreams In Prison in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 435,000.00 (€ 356,236.18).
