Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Detente by Claude Schurr was sold in the Modern Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in June 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,231.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude Schurr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le port de Nice, which sold at auction in February 2004 for USD 6,572.50 (€ 5,282.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Detente von Claude Schurr wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.231,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude Schurr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le port de Nice beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für USD 6.572,50 (€ 5.282,94) versteigert wurde.
