In July 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Sale, which included the work Recto: A Seated Man, Resting His Elbow On A Table Verso: Study Of A Woman, Three-Quarter Length, Holding Her Skirt by Claude-Jean-Baptiste Hoin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,882.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude-Jean-Baptiste Hoin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autoportrait À L'Âge De Vingt-Cinq Ans, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 76,200.00.

Im Juli 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Recto: A Seated Man, Resting His Elbow On A Table Verso: Study Of A Woman, Three-Quarter Length, Holding Her Skirt von Claude-Jean-Baptiste Hoin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.882,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude-Jean-Baptiste Hoin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autoportrait À L'Âge De Vingt-Cinq Ans beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 76.200,00 versteigert wurde.
