Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Claude Georges achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March last year. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Sodium - 1957 sold for EUR 3,149.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Claude Georges; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sans Titre sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of EUR 5,670.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Claude Georges erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Sodium - 1957 für EUR 3.149,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Claude Georges; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sans Titre im Mai 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.670,00.
