Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two studies of an exotic fruit, a cross section of the same and three seeds by Claude Aubriet was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2004. The price achieved of USD 896.25 (€ 719.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Claude Aubriet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Phasianus Faisan in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,436.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two studies of an exotic fruit, a cross section of the same and three seeds von Claude Aubriet wurde im Januar 2004 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 896,25 (€ 719,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Aubriet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Phasianus Faisan im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.436,66).
