Despite a disappointment, a good price for Chung Hyun
When this work without title by Chung Hyun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,901.86). Despite this disappointing result, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Chung Hyun that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Chung Hyun
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chung Hyun im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.901,86) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chung Hyun, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
