Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Three Standing Figures by Chucrallah Fattouh was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 400.00 (€ 445.64). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chucrallah Fattouh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstract Composition, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,531.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Three Standing Figures von Chucrallah Fattouh im Dezember 2018 bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 400,00 (€ 445,64) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Chucrallah Fattouh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstract Composition beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.531,87) versteigert wurde.
