Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Vase With Flowers by Christos Caras. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,853.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Christos Caras have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Abstract in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 27,204.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vase With Flowers von Christos Caras zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.853,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christos Caras auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Abstract im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 27.204,19).
