Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Nature Morte by Christos Caras. The price achieved of EUR 6,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christos Caras have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Abstract in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 27,204.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature Morte von Christos Caras zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christos Caras auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Abstract im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 27.204,19).
