Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Greek Vase by Christos Caras. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,857.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christos Caras - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Abstract, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 27,204.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Vase von Christos Caras zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.857,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Christos Caras mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Abstract beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 27.204,19) versteigert wurde.
