Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still life with flowers and flask by Christine Swane was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 18,000.00 (€ 2,415.99). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christine Swane - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life with plants and vases, which sold at auction in March this year for DKK 60,000.00 (€ 8,051.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still life with flowers and flask von Christine Swane im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 18.000,00 (€ 2.415,99) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Christine Swane mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life with plants and vases beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für DKK 60.000,00 (€ 8.051,88) versteigert wurde.
