Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work From a forest glade by Christian Peder Mørch Zacho was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 4,000.00 (€ 535.96). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Peder Mørch Zacho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Stream in a Forest in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 27,600.00 (€ 21,608.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit From a forest glade von Christian Peder Mørch Zacho im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 4.000,00 (€ 535,96) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Peder Mørch Zacho erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Stream in a Forest im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.600,00 (€ 21.608,08).
