In October 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Stream in a Forest by Christian Peder Mørch Zacho. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,600.00 (€ 21,608.08). With this result, A Stream in a Forest is even the most expensive work of art by Christian Peder Mørch Zacho that we have observed at auctions so far.
